ABOUT THE SONGS

Butterflies

This song was written at the time when I was living on an island outside of Stockholm. I had been down for some time and wrote Butterflies as an attempt to make myself feel better. The song is about when you’ve just fallen for somebody and that feeling of having butterflies throughout your entire body appears.

All the Same

Sometimes it seems as if the heart aches and miseries never stops. A friend of mine came to me with her sad story after keeping it inside for a long time. It was a story that contained broken hearts and broken dreams – a story that everybody’s heard or told. Anyway, I ended up writing her a song.

Trust

Trust is about a long term relationship that goes off and on forever. It is about wanting to be with someone, and at the same time shying away from love. It is about wanting to trust somebody but fearing it at the same time. Because trust is a fragile thing.

Desire

This song is generally about the difficulties of starting up something with somebody. It is also about the misunderstandings that occurs when there is a preconcieved idea of what the other person might be looking for. It is also about the miscommunication that is frequently happening between men and women.

Goodbye

I wrote this song out of frustration from the difficulties of communicating with someone when there is disappointment and hurt and damaged feelings involved. When a relationship ends and when the love is gone, repect and dignity should remain.

Red Valley farm

I was visiting a friend at a farm in the southern parts of the Canadian Rocky Mountains when I wrote this song. It was just on the verge of spring and I got a very vivid image of the struggles these lives must hold, living at the foot of a huge mountain.

In the Corner of My Eye

This song is about a love that will not fade, even though years have past and there is a great distance between them.

For a While

This song was first written in a hotelroom in Beijing, China. I slept in a pullout bed just by a window that was as big as the entire wall. Falling asleep and waking up seeing all these people in central Beijing made me feel kinda lonely. The song has been re-written since then, some of the lyrics have been altered.

Steal Him Away

This song is about being ready for love and seeing someone you wish you could put a love spell on.
